Programme
The conference aims to provide a forum for encounters,
exchanges and reflection. Two separate work areas have been set
up to present different views of the thematic axes of the
conference:
- Student-centred instructional planning
(currículum structure, mixed-mode studies,
compatibility between studies and work)
- Learner self-regulation
- Student supervision and tuition
- Student participation in university life (representative
and rebuttals offering alternative points of view on
the topic under discussion)
- Experiences outside the classroom (practicums,
mobility)
Official languages
The official languages of the conference
are: Catalan, Spanish and English.
Plenary sessions
There will be four presentations followed by comments and
rebuttals offering alternative points of view on the topic under
discussion.
Questions and comments from those attending the sessions will be
collected in written form during the respective presentations
and delivered to the roundtable to be responded to in
the last part of each the session.
The sessions will be videotaped and, after the Conference, will
be available on the library's audiovisual archive of the
University of Girona (
http://diobma.udg.edu/).
Simultaneous interpretation into official languages
will be available.
Roundtable discussions
Participants are invited to present papers related with the
thematic axes of the
Conference.
The roundtables will be organised in parallel sessions.
The five round tables discussions in each session will be leaded
by a reporter to facilitate the analisis of the papers
presented:
- First session: Monday 2 June 2008, from 12.30 to 14 h
- Second session: Monday 2 June 2008, from 17.30 to 19 h
- Third session: Tuesday 3 June 2008, from 12 to 13.30 h
The presenters must submit their papers before the established
deadline so that the reporter of each session can summarise the
contents and highlight the issues and aspects that will lead to
lively debate of te topic.
The authors of the various works and conference attendees will
participate in these sessions.
The most significant ideas and conclusions will begathered by
the reporters and reported back during the closing session of
the conference.
